前两天小水爸爸翻译了老鹰乐队的The Last Resort，他的翻译很精彩，个人也非常喜欢这首歌。
但是在这首歌的题目上，我个人认为有必要在这里探讨一下。
小水爸爸的翻译是：最后的可去之地
我的翻译是：最后的保留地
我的翻译很快被否掉了，因为自己也觉得这个题目有点跑。

保留地不行。那是划出来给印第安人居住的。而且与题目原意不符。
The Last Resort的意思很清楚：从罗德岛往西，可以翻过洛基山，可以到西海岸，还可以渡海去到夏威夷。可是，夏威夷之后呢？没有可去之地了。因此，夏威夷是美国白人可去的最后一个地方。
如果需要修改，应该与“最后的可去之地”意思一致。
